This book adds another layer to the poems and paintings of White Faced Woman by engaging the reader/viewer in the act of rearranging. Pages unfold and slide across vellum sheets printed with a house floor plan and the subtext of the grief period.
When my mother died, I stopped doing what I usually do and I rearranged furniture and I wrote poetry. I rearranged a lot of furniture. I wrote nine poems… I wrote them slowly, over time while I was doing other things like rearranging furniture. And watching Home and Garden Network. And napping.
